Updated VHF Radiocommunication Performance Standards

Updates to the ITU Radio Regulations have affected shipborne VHF radiocommunication performance standards. MSC.1/Circ.1460/Rev.3 details shipborne VHF installations are to meet the updated performance start by the first radio survey after 01 January 2024. This article provides details on the updated performance standards and advice from select VHF radio manufacturers.
