MEPC 76 Brief

The IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) held its 76th session from June 10th to 17th, 2021. This brief provides an overview of the more significant issues agreed at this session, including the latest on the implementation of the Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) and the Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII), and approval of air pollution and energy efficiency measures.
