MSC 105

The IMO Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) held its 105th session remotely from April 20 to 29, 2022. This Brief provides an overview of the more significant issues discussed at this session, which include matters pertaining to amendments to IMO instruments, new requirements for Carriage of Industrial Personnel, improving Fuel Oil safety standards, and the latest developments on Marine Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS). A review of the Committee’s activity can provide insight into upcoming regulations that have been adopted by the IMO, and a forecast of future regulatory developments.
