IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee’s 97th session met from November 21 to 25, 2016. This MSC 97 Brief provides an overview of the 97th session concerning adopted SOLAS and STCW regulation scheduled to enter into force on January 1, 2020 and July 1, 2018, respectively, as well as numerous recommendations and unified interpretations pertaining to mandatory international regulations.
