Paris and Tokyo MOU CIC on Safety of Navigation

The Maritime Authorities of the Tokyo and the Paris Memoranda of Understanding on Port State Control announced that a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on safety of navigation will be held from September 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017.

A questionnaire will be used to check the following:

that navigation equipment complies with relevant statutory certificates
that the master and navigation officers are qualified and familiar with operation of bridge equipment, especially the Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS)that navigation equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
